CELTIC NATION

"Do you long for
connection with the culture of your Celtic
ancestors?
Do you feel the call of a Celtic
past?
Do you stare at the stars at night and dream of a path forgotten and
wish there was more to know, more to learn, more to experience?
When you walk among the oaks, do
you hear the whispers of long
forgotten wisdom and feel the pull of Old Ones calling you back to
Ancient Ways?
Do you walk the shore and feel cut off and cast away...yearning to reconnect with that
which was severed?
You are not alone!
Welcome to the
Celtic Nation
Website!
Celtic Nation is an American cyber-group founded in December 1999
for fostering the further development and advancement of personal Celtic
Paganism / Polytheism. Our goal is to provide a forum
sympathetic to assisting Pagans / Polytheists in developing personal spiritual
paths based on accurate and scholarly information regarding ancient Celtic
cultures, traditions, mythologies, practices and folklore. Though catering
to Pagans / Polytheists, we welcome all regardless of personal while encouraging
exchange within the context of Celtic culture.
Celtic Nation is also dedicated to networking
with those of the Diaspora interested in the preservation and defense of living
Celtic cultures and languages in Brittany, Cornwall, Ireland, Isle of Mann,
Scotland, and Wales.
For the purpose of definition, the word Celtic
here refers to the Celtic language family, with its extinct and extant branches,
and by extension, to also the peoples and cultures, extinct and extant, speaking
those language branches, from the past till today.
Although we primarily serve the Diaspora here in
the United States, we also have dear friends whom we respect and network with in
Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Nova Scotia, Europe & South America who share a common
bond: a love of Celtic cultures & traditions that rises above our respective
nationalistic lot.
Deiuokara (reverence of the divine) is the name we have given to our
practice of honoring the Gods and Goddesses of the pre-Christian Celts. It is a
modern construction of a Pagan / polytheistic devotional path consisting of
beliefs, customs & practices that are inspired, influenced, & balanced by the
comparative study of relevant Pan-Celtic and Indo-European history, culture,
language, mythology, traditions, archaeology, as well as by the development of
continuing spiritual direction from our Celtic Gods, Goddesses, & ancestors. We
are headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, striving to develop a Celtic
worldview with regards to our spirituality and our relationships with land and
Deity.
Participation
is open to all regardless of age, race, ethnic origin, gender, gender
orientation, sexual orientation, or disability.
